Looking at Sublime Energy Medical Spa's extensive list of offerings, which include facial peels, laser treatments and soon-to-be-offered Botox, it's no surprise that a medical doctor is the woman behind this gem of a spa.
Dr. Kathryn Dundas opened Sublime in July 2008.
On the spa's site, she writes that all of Sublime's “techniques, treatments and products are based on the fundamental operating principle that good science is the backbone of good medicine. In our view, this applies equally to conventional and alternative therapies.”
And you'll find plenty of alternative therapies here, which include Reiki, acupuncture, ayurveda treatments and chakra balancing.
The spa itself is an asian-inspired beauty, with high ceilings, dark wooden doors and floors and candles that line the hallway.
Located on the second floor of a professional building on 17th avenue, the setup is so blissfully quiet that you'd never know there was a bustling world below.
Perhaps the coolest part about this spot is the To Celebrate Suite, a room for groups that offers a private steam shower, fireplace, relax- ation area and whirlpool tub.
Perfect for valentine's Day, you might say.
